Michael Potente becomes BIH Visiting Professor
Michael Potente is one three new guest scientists that foster research at Max Delbrueck Center (MDC) and Berlin Institute of Health (BIH). The Charité Foundation and the Einstein Foundation of Berlin are supporting the three professors who will come to Berlin to collaborate with groups at the MDC under the framework of the BIH. This initiative is part of the BIH strategy to bring findings from basic research into the clinic more quickly. During his Visiting Professorship, Michael Potente will work with Holger Gerhardt and his team at the MDC. The aim is to launch joint longstanding research program. He is being sponsored by the new BIH Visiting Professors program.
The Einstein Visiting Fellows Program exists since 2014 and is supported by the Private Excellence Initiative funded by Johanna Quandt. The Charité Foundation awards the Einstein BIH Visiting Fellowships in collaboration with the Einstein Foundation Berlin.
